Check AI Export turns the results of the official WordPress Plugin Check into a workspace: run the check, understand every finding, fix it with your AI assistant and track your progress until the plugin is ready for WordPress.org.

Usage

Go to Settings Check AI Export Scan
Choose a plugin and click “Run Plugin Check”
Work through the findings: “How to fix”, “Show code”, “Copy prompt” or “Copy prompt for coding agent”
Paste the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, or any other AI tool and apply the fix
Scan again and watch the status light turn green

All operations are performed locally within your WordPress installation.

Installation

Make sure the official Plugin Check plugin is installed and active.
Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/check-ai-export directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
Go to Settings Check AI Export, choose a plugin in the Scan tab and click “Run Plugin Check”.
Optional: configure the export format in the Export Settings tab. The export buttons are also available on the original Plugin Check page (Tools Plugin Check).

FAQ

Do I need the Plugin Check plugin installed?: Yes, this plugin works as an extension to the official WordPress Plugin Check plugin.
What is the difference between Compact and Detailed format?: Compact format shows only essential information (file, line, code, message) in one line per error, saving ~60% tokens. Detailed format includes all available information (severity, column, descriptions, documentation links) for comprehensive analysis.
How reliable is the security check?: It looks for code patterns that are typical for vulnerabilities, without running your code. Most findings point to real problems, but some can be intended (for example a webhook that verifies a signature itself). Review each finding and mark false positives as ignored. The check is no replacement for a professional security audit.
Can the free version fix my code automatically?: No. The free version helps you understand the findings and prepares precise prompts for your AI assistant; you apply the fixes yourself. The PRO version fixes the most common findings automatically with fixed rules (no AI, no API costs) and the rest with AI if you want, with automatic backups.
Why are some findings not shown after I ignored them?: Ignored findings are hidden by default. Tick “Show ignored” in the Scan tab to see and restore them.
Does this plugin send data to external servers?: No, all operations are performed locally in your WordPress installation. No data is sent to external servers.
Can I customize the export format?: Yes, go to Settings Check AI Export Export Settings to choose between Compact and Detailed formats, and enable/disable optional sections like metadata, summary, and AI instructions.
Which format should I use?: Use Compact format if you’re experienced with WordPress standards and want to save AI tokens (especially when using paid APIs). Use Detailed format if you’re learning or need comprehensive explanations with documentation links.
